ABOUT

LIZANDRO R. DAVILA

My musical journey started at a young age. I used to draw pictures while my dad and brother played guitar at home. Even as a wide-eyed toddler, I was captivated by the enchanting world of sound, where my parents' passion for rock and Latin music was infectious. It was inspiring to watch my father play when I came home from school, witness my brother's rock band practices and live performances, and view VHS recordings of my dad playing guitar with local Latin groups at events. These experiences laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for music and art.

In my junior-high days, my brother and I embarked on an ambitious quest to master the art of creating beats and rhythms, drawing inspiration from mixtapes by iconic artists like 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay-Z, and more. Armed with a cherished Christmas gift from our hardworking mother, a Yamaha Synthesizer Motif ES7, we began our musical journey. Overcoming early obstacles, such as the lack of memory card storage, we found unconventional ways to preserve our creations by recording beats via voicemail. These were the days when YouTube tutorials were rare, and digital resources for aspiring producers were scarce. During this time, we transitioned from the synthesizer to digital music production on an aging Windows XP computer, where I discovered my passion for digital artwork, particularly using programs like Photoshop.

Life took me in different directions as I stepped away from music to enjoy my youth and explore my talents in graphic design during high school. My creativity caught the attention of teachers and fellow students, sparking my interest in attending a trade school for graphic design, where I honed my skills and distinguished myself among peers. High school parties and youthful adventures further fueled my artistic flow and musical inspirations. However, the allure of music remained irresistible, especially when my best friend, Syris, introduced me to his father, "DJ Kamron," deeply entrenched in the music industry. Over time, I refined my skills as an artist and producer, gaining the confidence to showcase my talents. Kamron became a mentor whose influence significantly shaped my musical journey and continues to till today.

My voyage has been marked by many remarkable encounters, including glimpses into the creative processes of artists such as Drake and being in the presents of artist like Peedi Crack, Cuban Link, M.O.P., Royal Flush and 808 Mafia. These experiences fueled my unwavering commitment to the world of music production.

Fast forward, my journey has led to remarkable achievements. I've secured opportunities in film scoring, collaborating with brands like LUGZ footwear and BET. Additionally, I've contributed production for a hiphop scene to the adult comedy animated show "Bern Notice" on Amazon Prime. Furthermore, I emerged victorious in a beat battle competition, gaining more recognition and interview with Music Industry Long Island Magazine.

Today, I'm thrilled to announce that my career has evolved into something extraordinary. Alongside my brother and cousin, I own and operate a recording company. Holding the titles of Chief Operating Officer and Creative Director of 3rd Eye Records Label, I manage artists, oversee advertising and marketing services, and open numerous avenues for our company. My expanded skill set now encompasses sound design, photography, directing, digital artistry, and content creation. These diverse talents allow me to explore uncharted creative territories, enriching the artistic journey for both myself and my collaborators.

The Story Behind my Beat Tag:

 "HAHA THIS GUNNA SOUND CRAZY"

Sometime in the early days of my music journey, around 2007. My home studio setup was the heart of creative gatherings, especially during family parties at the house. In my room, I had a home studio setup with a recording booth, and it was always open to my brother, cousins, aunts, and uncles or anyone that felt some inspiration walking by my room, good vibes, and laying down tracks.

One particular evening etched itself into my memory. With the microphone on, while showcasing music with my brother and cousins. As we got lost in the music, my cousin wanted to record something on a beat, and that's when something magical happened. My brother, sitting on my bed beside me in front of my studio desk, burst out with, "HAHA THIS GUNNA SOUND CRAZY!" His spontaneous exclamation captured the energy of that moment—a moment filled with youthful excitement, creativity, and the pure joy of jamming together... and my brother was lit that night lol. Like many moments like these it always felt like the night would never end, and I'd treasured those times of music and fun. This memory is something I'll always hold close. So, when you hear that beat tag, remember that it carries a piece of that special night and the enduring bonds of family and music within the comfort of our home studio.
